Funeral Expenses for Randy Joiner

Update: It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Randy passed away last night at 9 pm. He will be so missed. Arrangement details to follow.

UPDATE: Inadvertently, the Go Fund Me account was turned off and all money donated was returned. However, Randy continues to decline and his prognosis is even graver than before. There is no insurance for his end-of-life expenses. And his wife has no money for them. If you donated (we are so grateful) I hope you can see it in your hearts to donate again. I am so sorry for the confusion.

Hello, my name is Donna Ulrich, Randy Joiner’s sister. He is very ill from complications from a hemorrhage in October which left him in a coma for 32 days, and completely bedridden. He is now suffering from complications of an infection which is winning the battle, not him. End of life Hospice measures are being taken at this time. His family has no money for his funeral.

Randy served his country as a Marine during the Viet Nam war, served Okaloosa County, faithfully, for 38 years, as a deputy sheriff , following his 10 years as a FL Wildlife Officer. Since his daughter, Jordan’s death, he has served as an ambassador for Donate Life, FL and Lyons’s Eye Institute, advocating for the donation of organs, to give life and sight, when a loved one dies. He has faithfully served FL and Okaloosa County. He gave selfishly of himself, and now needs for his community to give back. Any help would be appreciated.

This money will be used to pay for funeral expenses.
