Funeral Expenses for Robert Resto

On behalf of the Restos Family:

On Saturday October 30th at 1:30am a rapidly growing fatal fire in an apartment building in Washington Heights took the life of 7 yr old Robert Restos. Their apartment was completely destroyed, along with all of their personal belongings including personal documents. The families goal is to transport Robert back to the Dominican Republic where his mother is awaiting his arrival. However, his father and grandmother, who is currently in the hospital in critical condition, do not have the funds necessary to make this happen.

Robert was a loving and caring kid, who's birthday was soon approaching in December. He was a studious 2nd grader that enjoyed spending his time with his family. He was known by his neighbors as the jolly kid that was always smiling and greeting everyone. He loved to dance and make TikToks with his friends. The family is in complete disbelief of this tragic event.

We, the community, are creating this GoFundMe page in hopes of helping this grieving family. No donation is too small. We would greatly appreciate any donation, share or repost. All funds will go directly to the family for helps with funeral costs and any other necessities that they are currently in need of.

Update: Hisane Rosario, aunt of Robert Resto, is going to be directly in charge of withdrawing the funds directly on to her account. Robert’s father, who is currently grieving the loss of his precious son, has granted Ms. Rosario permission to be the beneficiary on his behalf. Once the funds have been deposited on to the account she will hand them directly over to Robert’s father. I am writing this statement to provide complete transparency and so that all of the supporters know exactly who the money is going to.
