Please read the words written by my dear friend Brigid Hallman, whose mother passed away early this morning (04/03/20) and consider donating to help her cover the cost of her mothers final expenses.
"My mom was the most sweetest soft spoken lady. She Made and impression everywhere she went with her bright smile and her bright style. If you made an impression on her you would know, as she would include you on her list of homemade cards she sent out worthy of a hallmark stamp on the back.
She was art and crafty, a heck of a handy-woman and the most intelligent person. Mom loved to sew, though she did not get to enjoy it in her older years due to health issues. She loved to sew so much she made most of our clothes when we were little. I remember frilly dresses being so itchy and hot in the southern heat, but what we would give to go back to that time of itchy dresses and mushroom haircuts.
I took a journey in February 2019 to move my mother from Oregon to KY, as I wanted her here with me so I could take care of her since I knew our time left was limited. In her passing we were finally able to see her (see below for details) and she knew she was loved, hanging on until all her girls were together.
"Mommy, we wouldn't have wanted any other mom than you. You were the best Gramumer out there. We love you so much and we dont know how we are going to live without you."
Side Bar- Amidst this pandemic with all the jokes and nonchalant attitudes of the world, this has affected our family in such a way that I wish it on no one. She entered the hospital on March 12th and within in days we were no longer allowed to visit her. AT ALL. No access whatsoever as she was diagnosed with Type A Flu, sedated, and intubated, fighting for her life ALL ALONE. With the covid19 precautions, no visitors were allowed until ones life has reached its end, for my mother that was 3 weeks...3 weeks ALONE. I ask you all to please stay at home and follow social distancing orders during this time, wash and sanitize your hands, you may not be taken down by COVID19 but the most vulnerable people will."
-Brigid Hallman, loving daughter
Please consider even a small donation to my friend to help her in her hour of need.
