Funeral Expenses for Takeyia and Allura

Hi. My name is Andrecia Vespa. I am the sister of Von C. Pledger, Jr. On the evening of December 2, 2021, I received a call from Von, in hysterics. He was working in Wisconsin and had just learned that his 3-yr-old baby girl, Allura Pledger, and her mother, Takeyia De'Shay Berry, were both shot and killed, along with 2 other adults, in Elizabeth City, NC. At this time, the reason for their deaths is "in the wrong place, at the wrong time." Takeyia was always willing to help out someone who needed help. Some "friends" needed assistance and she and the baby were killed senselessly in her giving that assistance.

Takeyia always smiled. She had a natural love for people. She was very generous and caring and she loves her daughters. She leaves a beautiful young teenager to mourn the loss of her mother and baby sister. Allura was beautiful, bright-eyed, loving and so very smart. She loved her Mommy and her Daddy. The time we had her were 3 very short, precious years. Heaven is rejoicing at their arrival and weeping at our loss. It is so very painful to lose these irreplaceable lives.
