Funeral for Carl Crites our Bopa & father
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Marcey Johnson, It’s with the heaviest heart that I’m raising money for my father's memorial service. We lost him on May 28th to a lengthy illness. I am fighting my own battle with Breast Cancer and other major health issues and am currently unable to work. He was fighting his own fight, just when mine was beginning. My mother, and the true love of my dad's life, is also physically unable to work due to her declining health and is in danger of losing her home.
My dad worked basically everyday of his life...all the way to the very end including his physical job as Service Manager at a Ford Dealership. Toward the end, he struggled on a daily basis just to get out of bed, get ready for work, and make the drive to Rio Vista where he was beloved by his colleagues - and not just for his automobile expertise.
My dad was a man of honor. He proudly served in the Army for many years. He almost lost his life in a Jeep accident while on patrol in Germany, nearly breaking every bone in his body. He was larger then life. He truly was the best man I knew. He lived all over the world and found his forever home with my loving mother in Lodi, Ca. My dad was responsible for changing and helping many people. He never met a stranger and would truly give you the shirt off his back. He was so patient and never missed an opportunity to teach someone something that they could carry with them in some way. When he loved you it was with his whole heart. And he loved his family that includes my mom, my two sisters and his 10 grandchildren. My dad loved spending time his family: camping, boating, and holidays - just to name a few - all were times he greatly cherished.
Finally, my dad was an organ donor and gave the gift of sight to someone in need! He did not have life insurance, so every dollar we can raise will help with the veteran's memorial service we are having to honor my DAD, my HERO, and our BAPA! Please donate and share if possible.
