Funeral for Daniel Jay Sluiter

On the evening of November 2nd my nephew Daniel Sluiter was walking home with his older brother John from the Boys Club at church when he was tragically hit and killed as he attempted to cross West Main Street in Kalamazoo County.

In his short life Daniel was no stranger to adversity and was only just beginning to see his life turned around.  He was a brilliant, adventurous young boy with a love for the outdoors, fishing with his father, cars, tools, and a special fondness for his hero John Cena.  He absolutely adored his parents and siblings and he will always be remembered for his deep love of his family.

His family is utterly devastated by his sudden and unexpected passing.  We’ve started this campaign in order to help them cover funeral costs and expenses as they are already struggling financially.  Any amount raised over and above our goal will be put in a trust towards counseling for Daniel's siblings to help them overcome the loss of their brother.
