Funeral for DaQuan LaJune Woods, Jr. a.k.a. “DJ

Dear Family, Friends, and Community,

Our beloved Daquan LaJune Woods, Jr, affectionately known as “DJ” gained his heavenly wings on Friday, July 28th at 1018a at the NY Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. DJ was a wonderful son to Dominique Mack and the late DaQuan Woods, Sr, and big brother to Destiny, Jewelz, and Juelz. He touched the lives of everyone around him and leaves behind many who will cherish his memory forever.

DaQuan was a miracle child since his arrival on December 19, 2011! DJ was diagnosed at 20 weeks invitro with an extensive Heart condition and was not expected to survive or thrive. His labor room team prepared for the worst, yet DJ surprised them and met or exceeded every milestone since then.

We are all devastated by DaQuan’s loss and were not financially prepared for the inflated cost of a funeral service. We want to give DJ the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.
