Funeral for David Crump

Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I need help paying for my dad's funeral expenses. The funeral home we originally were going to use, would cost around $10,500, and there was just no way to get that payment to them quickly (they wanted the payment in full before we could make the arrangements). The funeral home made a copy of a document that would be used to create the death certificate. They told us to go to the bank to see if I could get access to his account. We went to the bank with the document they gave us. But the bank needs an original copy of the death certificate to do any banking services (since I am not on his account). I started crying heavily since I was at a loss on what to do. I just couldn't seem to accomplish anything with trying to make arrangements. We have since switched funeral homes and have chosen different services. It has brought the cost down significantly, and they were much more caring about everything. He was a veteran, so we did look into those benefits but discovered there isn't much that is covered for the funeral and burial costs, just transportation from the hospital to the funeral home. And other VA resources haven't worked out either. He didn't have any pre-planned arrangements and I have very limited access to his bank account. I cannot use his life insurance due to a 2-year stipulation, so the full benefit isn't available. Some of the funding I was trying to get help with fell through. What I am asking for is mercy, compassion and support. If you can, please help with this cause with whatever you can do. Unfortunately, I don't have much time to get payment to the funeral home. I have until Friday so the services can be done Monday. This has already dragged out longer than it should have and I am so mentally and emotionally drained. You can call W.E.
