Hi family and friends my family and I are doing a fundraiser so we can give my brother Earl Johnson who was 50 years old loving and caring the proper memorial service he deserves.On January 18,2022 we got a phone call from Petersburg Jail telling us that my brother is no longer with us that he has passed away. My brother was incarcerated since 2012,during spending his time in jail he became I’ll and was diagnosed with diabetes and kidney problems.My brother would constantly call home occasionally to let us know how they not giving him his medication he also mention that their not treating his medical conditions as they should and one day he calls home and says he’s on a cane and can’t barely walk then weeks later he calls home and tell us that he’s in a wheelchair my mother tried to reach out to the caseworker in the jail to ask what was going on with her son the caseworker said that she didn’t know because she haven’t seen him so my mother tried to reach out to others as well no one seem to know what was going on with my brother my brother called home and said to my mother please find him a lawyer he told her he’s going to die in that jail and was he right my brother was found in his cell unresponsive my brother did not deserve to be treated this way it’s so heartbreaking that he had to spend his last moments in a jail where he wasn’t given proper medical treatments his death was so unexpected that we can’t afford to give him a proper funeral my family and I is asking please to find it in your hearts to be generous and help us give my brother the proper funeral he deserves anything you can give we will all be very grateful I thank you all for taking the time to read our story , God Bless You
