End of Life Expenses for Female Forester

Donation protected

My name is Renee Quackenbush, and as Charlotte Schneider’s caregiver for the past 11 years, it was my most rewarding job ever. I learned everything I could about MS to reverse her condition. As a young woman she was one of the first females to break into the Missouri Department of Conservation, and pioneered this challenge with grace. For many years she attended the monthly St Louis Arborist meetings, freely sharing information about new tree diseases. She did not let her own disease get the best of her for 38 years, having contracted it in her mid thirties. Being a tree expert with forestry degrees and an outdoors gal, she had a difficult time being transferred to a desk job, and a heart breaker having to be let go because of the disease.

My new best friend was an inspirational hard worker with lots of determination. She had an unexplainable joy of the lord in her heart and good things to say about people, and of course trees. A few years ago I remember walking in the door, and with a huge smile on her face Charlotte exclaimed, “just did a little research and we exceeded my life expectancy!” When the hospital released her to 24 /7 care with me, they thought she only had months. Charlotte defied the odds in everything she ever attempted. In her last years she talked about launching a GoFundMe to plant trees all around. But now that she most likely will have that job in heaven, I’m asking for help. Charlotte went to her grave believing that all her end of life expenses were  already taken care of.
