Funeral for Gemma Kirkham
Donation protected
It is heart breaking news to hear of Gemma’s sudden departure from this world. She leaves behind many devastated people whose lives she touched during her own, too short a life. No more so than Roy, Christine and Laura who have lost a child and a sister.
Gemma was a generous, kind, vibrant character with such a beautiful voice and a passion for singing, those of you who were lucky enough to have heard her sing will know that this world is poorer for losing her voice. Gemma touched the lives of many with her ability to light up any room with her bubbly personality, she was fun to be around and had a great talent for bringing joy to those around her, especially those she taught.
Burying your child is the worst thing that anyone will ever have to do, without the concern for how you are going to pay for all the funeral costs. In order for Roy, Christine and Laura to give Gemma the memorial she deserves and to say their last goodbyes we are asking for those willing and able to contribute to the costs of the funeral, we are hoping to get a lovely flower arrangement which portrays the beauty and vibrance in Gemma which we have all lost too soon.
During this difficult time with Leeds in lock-down, it means that not many people will be able to attend the funeral service and no wake will be held. A funeral would have been the chance to show your support to Gemma’s family and friends, but not many people will be able to do this, so by contributing to the costs of the funeral you will be showing your support and sending your love in a different way.
Those of you who were close to Gemma and care greatly for her family will no doubt be feeling a sense of helplessness that you cannot go and physically support them during this horrific time of grief; by contributing to these costs, you will be showing your love and support and taking away some of the burden they will be feeling towards the financial costs of the funeral.
Gemma was one of a kind and her beautiful smile will be missed greatly.
Rest in Peace our Gimgamz.
