End of life services for Gina Randolph

Donation protected

Gina Randolph... a twin, a sister, a mother, a daughter, a wife, a friend.

No one is ever ready to say goodbye. Letting go and watching your loved one slip into a never ending sleeping abyss is beyond fathomable. But when it's unexpected, it's even harder.

One month ago, Gina was rushed into the ER and had emergency surgery where they found her body suffering from an infection. Her body was riddled with septic shock. This medical intervention was a lifesaving event, so we all thought. After two weeks of treatment, where we believed Gina was getting better, she took a turn for the worse. She was moved to the cardiac unit due to her heart stopping and respiratory distress. There were many great moments where she was good.... really, really good. She was more alert, witty, funny, and herself. But upon these moments of greatness, she would suffer from respiratory failure. The alarms sounding and her retreating back into salvation mode.

Clammy, pale, and frightened, she was fighting for her life. From laughter of reminiscence, to fearful  pleading to not let her die in the hospital. Two weeks turned into 4 weeks. Through this time, she became progressively worse.

She was scheduled for a broncoscopy on Wed 04.14.21 to get a better understanding as to why she was having respiratory decline. Her last words to me about this procedure reverberate and haunt my thoughts.... " I don't want this procedure. Something isn't right. I will die if I have this procedure. Please don't let me die in this hospital."

Gina went into the the procedure on Wed 04.14.21 in the afternoon and by 5:30 that evening, we were receiving a call that she went into cardiac arrest. She never made it off that table with a self beating heart. Put on life support, she was waiting for family to come to be by her side. It was touch and go for several hours, but Gina had gone into cardiac arrest again and again. For a span of nearly an hour and half; her heart was not beating on its own. For an hour and half, her brain was deprived of oxygen. She was declared brain damaged and unable to keep her heart beating. After a DNR decision and removal of the life support, Gina didn't last 5 minutes before her heart stopped for the last time.

Pronounced at 10:56pm, Gina Maria Randolph took her last breath and her heart beat for the very last time.

Gina had no will, no plans, and no life insurance policy. There are no words to describe a mother or father who lose a child. No words to describe a sibling who lost their sibling. This life is void of the uniqueness known as Gina.

Gina leaves behind 2 amazing teenage boys
who love her dearly. A mother and father. A twin sister, 2 younger sisters, and 2 brothers.
Gina has so many friends and family who love her. She will be incredibly missed.

Please help us  give Gina the funeral and memorial that she deserves and to cover all of the expenses that would, by default, fall back on her legal estranged husband and potentially impact their children.

Thank you all for your love and support.
