Funeral for Hunter student Gabby Crosby

At the request of the Crosby family, we have stopped accepting donations. Thanks in part to the support of the Hunter community, Gabby will be laid to rest in Grenada on October 14th.

Gabby's mom writes:

I want to express my profound thanks to all who so generously donated to help me bring my beautiful little angel to her final resting place in Grenada. Please know how grateful I am for the outpouring of love and support. I read the wonderful words of encouragement and support; they have warmed my heart and brought comfort. May God bless each and every one of you.

Rachelle and Gabby

Gabby was a 9th grade student at Hunter College High School in the gardening, knitting, and pet clubs.

She loved the caring teachers at HCHS and her group of friends: Joshua, Kaya, Katherine, Eloise, Maddy, and Scarlett. She loved going to Starbucks and Central Park with them during lunch. Gabby also loved sitting with her friends under the tree in front of the school.

Gabby was a brilliant girl who loved the academic challenges of Hunter and was proud to be part of the school. Her favorite subjects were French and Theater, and she had a particular fondness for Ms. D'Amico and Ms. Karakaya.

The sole beneficiary of your kind support is Gabby's mom, Rachelle Crosby.
