I am writing to you today to let you know about the loss of our dear Michael Patrick Feltenberg. Michael was a brother, son, friend, college student, fraternity brother, and boyfriend. We lost Michael tragically and unexpectedly at age 23 on Monday afternoon, March 1st 2021. We are absolutely devastated by Michael’s passing and are trying to cope with his loss in addition to the costs of his funeral arrangements. Based on quotes we’ve received, I have included a breakdown of the costs involved below:
Coroners Fee: $456 (Death Certificate, Deposition Certificate, Coroners Fee)
Memorial Service: $7,854.11 (Chapel & Memorial Service, Clergy, Memorial DVD, Casket, Ceremony Broadcasting, Sales Tax, Flowers, Catering)
Cemetery Fee: $5,254 (Grave Marker, Cemetery Plot, Burial)
Other: $700 (Memorabilia, Transportation)
Total: $14,264.11
We will need to pay a majority of the funeral costs by Friday, March 19th 2021. However, we will continue to accept donations past this date. I’ve started a GoFundMe on my parents’ behalf to collect donations. Our hope is to provide Michael with a proper service and burial to honor his life.
