Funeral for Our Parents, Suzanne & Aimé

Our names are Mélanie and Allicia and we would like to ask for your help to give our parents the funeral that they would have wanted and deserve.

Sadly, both our parents Aimé Giroux and Suzanne Pharand, along with their precious dog Toupie were tragically killed in a car crash on Wednesday, February 2nd around 2pm driving home from a specialist appointment on a road they had driven so many times before. Unfortunately, no matter how many times you drive on a road, when the weather gets bad and the roads are covered in slush and ice, you're in God's hands.

Our parents were the most loving and caring people we knew, but we have received an immense outpouring of messages from so many people which just confirms with us how well loved they were, not only by us, but by everyone who ever met them.

Our parents were never extravagant people and lived a very simple life. Whatever means they had, they made sure to help the two of us and our families and then made donations to organizations like the Cancer Society and United Way.

Given this, my sister and I truly need help to pay for all things involved in funeral arrangements for them both. Our parents didn't have any savings or plans in place for this situation because it just wasn't something they could afford. I know they also never thought that they would both go at the same time which makes this so much more difficult.

Both of us, at this point, have no idea how to even begin to plan for burying both our parents, nor do we understand what something like this will cost We have put an amount to begin with based on some research and a few people we've spoken to.

The entirety of the funds raised will go to all things involved in getting our parents back home and remembered according to their wishes. Any help at all that you could give is very much appreciated and we will be forever grateful.

We are comforted in the thought that our parents were together and will be together forever reunited with their son.
