Funeral for Phillip Robert Gilbert
Donation protected
My father Phillip Robert Gilbert passed away on the 20th February 2020 in the Dorset town of Shaftesbury where he had been living for a while and had been receiving many kindnesses from the local community, including the community choir and Open house charity.
Also known as Smut, Phillip was originally from Epping but raised in Harlow, he trained and worked as a tree surgeon but lived rough for most of his life. I lost contact with him when I was about 11 years old.
I would like to try and raise sufficient funds to give him a basic funeral. I am a student in the North East but I am contributing as much as I can in order to give him a good send off. Any contribution, however small, would be greatly appreciated.
If I raise more that my target the excess monies will be gifted to Open house charity who supported him in his last years.
Thank you to all those who found me.
Please do not feel under any obligation to contribute.
