Funeral for Robert De La Garza

Hi, my name is Margarita and I'm fundraising for my husbands', Robert De La Garza's funeral expenses.

He was a very supportive man of those around him, counted on by very many people. We received a lot of supportive letters and calls from the many people that he held ties with. A lot of those were from other sheriffs, a career that my husband was extremely proud of, not just in his career but in how he tried to influence his juniors for the better. To our kids he would always tell them stories about his time as a sheriff, both the crazy sounding stories of arrests and how he would advice younger sheriffs in their attitude to make sure they wouldn't end up hurt. He would constantly state the sheriffs were a second family to him. He was extremely proud of what he did, and so are we. We hope he managed to impact the younger generation of sheriffs for the better.

The funds from this fundraiser will go to helping pay for his funeral. I would appreciate any and all help that we can get. The expenses are to be paid by Wednesday, October 20th. I will be in charge of the payment
