Funeral Fund for Ameerah Akowa

It is with shock and sadness that we write to all those fortunate enough to have known and felt the impact of Ameerah Akowa, that she passed away suddenly on December 20th, 2022. To have known Ameerah is to have seen a wonderful sister, daughter, and friend who touched the lives of those around her. To have known her family is to have known her and her love. Our family has, understandably, been overwhelmed by this and we are eternally grateful for the outpouring of love following the unexpected death of our beloved.

Ameerah dedicated her life to furthering her education, spending time with friends & family, and ensuring that love and hope are felt within our family. As a student at Campbell High School, Ameerah went above and beyond with her academics and preparations to pursue her dream of becoming a neurosurgeon. Not only was she a Questbridge finalist, but she also was accepted into the University of Georgia and Louisiana State University. To our family, she will always be remembered as Dr. Akowa.

We ask that you join our family in the healing process for those affected by this sudden loss. We ask that you extend love and prayer to our family. And, if you are able and willing, we ask for a financial contribution to the Akowa family to help alleviate costs associated with the untimely passing.

All contributions will be greatly appreciated by the family. All money raised will go directly to the Akowa family and will be used directly to offset the costs associated with Ameerah’s tragic and untimely death.
