Funeral Funding for James Kennedy
Hello. I'm starting this gofund me for my Dad, James Kennedy, to help raise money for his funeral, casket, and headstone.
*---James Kennedy (My Dad) Has taken his last few breaths today at 6:50PM on June 3rd, 2024---*
My dad has battled cancer and has been in remission for 4 years, with high chances of catching cancer again. With our luck, he hasn't caught any type of cancer. Even though we had a few scares of him possibly having cancer again, the blood work showed high numbers and low numbers, which we thought cancer was back, but the tests showed no cancer. The radiation and chemo treatments helped with beating the cancer, but it didn't help my dads body as it's slowly deteriorating. He's been in and out of the hospital for intestinal problems from the radiation and chemo frying them. It also caused his pancreas to work when it wanted to and his sugar to sky rocket, causing neuropathy in his hands, feet, and intestines.
He has now lost function to his left arm. He has been falling a lot. His left side of his face has become a bit droopy and losing eye sight. He is now forgetting stuff and his surroundings. We think he had a stroke, but I can't say for sure. We can't get him into his appointments to be checked to be certain, but they keep changing his appointments to further dates. He's getting worse and isn't doing to well at all. He was turned down multiple times from getting his disability. They told him he is able to work. My dad has finally given up, and the last several weeks, he isn't doing good and not feeling much pain like he was. It is a matter of time now that he will pass. We are going to reach out about hospice. They're not doing well financially and can't afford having a funeral. I hope we can raise enough to help. My dad was denied disability saying he was able to work, but could barely walk and move his left arm. He has attorneys fight for him, but still hasn't received anything in years.
James has now got cancer again and this time it is on his Brian. He can't walk, barely able to move, talk and do anything. He has a short time with us, as he can pass away now any day. We are doing our best to keep him comfortable. He is on Hospice now. They told us, it can any day.
My dad was a Happy man. Worked all his life to support his family. He loved to fish and ride his dirt bikes/quad/go karts around. He was into video games and loved working on computers. For over 2 years he was upset he could barely do any of this stuff. Last year he cried and said he was useless that he couldn't do anything to support the family and it was hard to see.
Sept into October dad had strokes that we saw, but was told it was from his medication. In November on thr 4th or 5th, he declined so fast he forgot who we were, where he was or who he was. He got admitted for months. He turned around for a small period of time, but 2 weeks ago he had a double stroke and they told us the treatments wasn't helping and removed him off of the treatments. That they weren't working. Now the cancer is spreading rapidly. It's in his lungs and heart valve. He's been coughing a lot and gasping for air at times. It's just a matter if time now. Please keep us in your prayers
