Funeral Fundraising for Luis Enrique Llamas Jr
On Thursday November 7, Luis was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. He suffered serious injuries and unfortunately was unable to recover. He was put to rest on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2019 at the age of 24 years old. He graduated from Montebello High School and enlisted in the Army right after. Luis served proudly with the 82D Airborne Division in the United States Army and earned an honorable discharge for his honorable and faithful service to our great nation. He was in the Army reserve and also worked as a security officer for Beverly Hospital where he recently earned Employee of the Year. He was a student at Pasadena City College. This Fall of 2019 was his first semester in school as he had hopes of becoming a physical therapist.
Luis was the most selfless and kind person. He loved giving back to his community; he donated food to the homeless. From his childhood into his adult years, Luis dedicated his life and faith in God by being a part of the youth program at St. Benedict Catholic Church which led to him becoming an altar server and eventually an usher.
My brother was taken so soon from my family and I. He was a loving son and brother. I am going to miss my brother so much; from the constant bickering to the moments we spent playing Smash Bros and watching movies together. All we have are memories, but they're memories I will always remember.
