Funeral & Kids future expenses

Josue Rivera, age 45, lost his battle with cancer on January 16, 2022. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer in February of 2020. After having chemotherapy he had a gastrectomy. It was a grueling few months of recovery. After 1 year of recovery he started with pains going from his shoulders, all the way down to his legs. He had easily had approx 10 Dr. visits in a 2 month span to try and figure out where the pain was coming from. He was told it was arthritis, due to age, due to working too hard. He was prescribed Pain medicine and physical therapy. Finally after 2 visits to the urgent care and 1 visit to the emergency room we were saddened to find out that the cancer had returned and was in his bones. After months of trying all kinds of pain medicine he became less mobile and more confused. On January 4th of 2022 he was rushed to the emergency only to find out it was now in his brain. After 13 days in the hospital, the cancer had won this battle.

 

He was such a fighter. One of the most honest and humble people you could meet. Anyone that knew him would tell you how amazing and caring he was. Josue was always positive and had the biggest heart. He was loved by all that had the privilege to know him. He is survived by his wife and 4 children. The kids are 1-1/2, 7, 9 & 16. The family is raising money for funeral expenses and for the kids future expenses. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
