Funeral & Memorial of Darius Lamar Hoover

On October 20, 2022, at 25 years old, Darius Lamar Hoover was unexpectedly lost. Darius leaves behind many people who loved him. Including his parents, Edward and Hurley Hoover, his sister, Shandra, as well as her husband, Martell Connor, and two kids. Darius cherished everyone he loved, especially his niece and nephew; MaKenzie and Makaden Connor. Additionally, Darius leaves behind his beloved cousin (who was more like his brother) Calvin Camp. Please join us in mourning the loss of a son, brother, cousin, and friend. His joyous smile and contagious laugh will live on in the memory of everyone who knew him. He had the most generous heart of anyone I have ever known. He put everyone before himself. Without hesitation, Darius would have given his last $20 away to someone in need. In honor of him, may all who loved him lead with a new sense of generosity towards others.

The funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 485 Catawba Valley Blvd SE #465, Hickory, NC 28602.

All proceeds will go toward funeral expenses, any additional funds will be left to his immediate family.
