Funeral Alan (A.J.) Wachs

Tax deductible
Our dear friend, Rabbi Avraham Yaakov (“A.J.”) passed away yesterday, after having been in government-funded assisted living for several years. He had absolutely no funds for a Jewish burial.

He had been living in the SW Florida area for more than a decade and had friends everywhere, including those who knew him from his involvement  at Chabad of Cape Coral and Chabad of Ft Myers. Baruch Hashem, Neshama Foundation, South Florida Jewish Cemetery and the National Association of Chevra Kadisha will ensure a proper burial, but YOU can help us out with the awesome mitzvah of “chesed shel emes.” Whatever you’re able to send would be a tremendous help and a tremendous mitzvah, too!

More information about South Florida Jewish Cemetery: We are dedicated to ensuring a proper Jewish burial for every Jewish person who passes away. There are many struggling families in our community, when they experience a death in the family we are here to offer support in every way possible. We are also the only Green Burial cemetery in South Florida and we promote education about best practices for the environment and the body and soul. Namely- Jewish/green burial and NOT cremation.
