Early evening on Wednesday, June 21st 2023, a car was seen speeding too fast for the twists and turns on Highway 35, known as Skyline, when its driver lost control and crashed.

Inside the car was our beloved Joshua McGuigan, along with another passenger and the driver of the vehicle.

Tragically, the crash was so violent that Josh and the other passenger were lost.

Friends of Josh know how much he enjoyed taking his Toyota GR86 for drives on the mountain roads as well as on the local race tracks whenever he could.

They will also know that he and his family were planning and preparing to relocate to Florida at the end of June.

The expense of moving an entire family across the country and sudden funeral expenses are a great deal more than the family was expecting and people have come forward wishing to help in some way; to show their concern for the family, assist them in their time of need, and commemorate Josh in some way.

We have opened this GoFundMe in order to assist with this. The family cannot arrange a memorial service while dealing with all the unfortunately necessary legal happenings that need to be taken care of in such a circumstance, and gifts and flowers would add to their burden at this point, since their entire lives are packed up and ready to be loaded into the moving trucks...

We ask those who can and wish to help to do so through this GoFundMe. Any memories or photos of Josh would be most welcome in the comments.

We are so grateful to know that Josh was very much loved and that so many are as shocked and saddened by his sudden loss as we have been, and we appreciate any help, encouraging words, photos, and good memories.

We are working to get memorial access to Josh's social media accounts and, if we are able to piece together a memorial service, we will notify everyone here, on the family's accounts, and on Josh's memorial accounts.
