Funeral Service in Memory of Michael Kosak

Donation protected
As many of you may know, a week ago we lost Mikey unexpectedly to Stage 4 Esophageal cancer. He was only diagnosed 6 weeks ago at the end of August. We had no time to process the news. It seemed like one day after another, another obstacle was thrown at him and he did not have a chance to fight this terrible illness.

He passed at Seasons Hospice of Naperville on Monday October 12 at 4:25 am after a short but painful battle. Mikey was a wonderful husband, an incredible father, brother, friend, coworker and soldier. He touched the lives of those around him in more ways then one. He leaves behind my mom Michelle, myself and my three younger siblings who are all under the age of eighteen.

Mikey dedicated his life to his family, his friends and his country. Him and my mom were together for twenty-four beautiful years and married for nineteen of those years. Together they built a life that they loved and they were each others rock. Their relationship was one of fairytales and he treated my mom like a Queen. With her love and support, Mikey was able to proudly serve his country for twenty four years. We were so proud of all his hard work and dedication to every role he pursued. Mikey passed with the title of Command Sergeant Major of the Illinois Army and National Guard. We truly thank you for your service and leadership.

Mikey was a deeply valued employee at Ecolab/Nalco as the Global Safety Health and environment Manager where he was in charge of the Responsible Care team, the MERGE team, and was certified as trainer for active shooter response. Mikey was also a certified Green belt at Ecolab, a member of the Illinois Professional Development Series and the Sustainability Facility Professional. Mikey was the hardest worker I’ve ever known and I am beyond proud to call him my dad.

Mikey holds a special place in all of our hearts and will be truly missed. During this hard time my family and myself ask for any help to cover the expenses of medical and funeral. This will greatly help my mom, Michelle, and my siblings during these hard times.

Please consider donating if you can, as any amount will truly help. It would mean a lot if you could share Michael Kosak’s funeral fundraiser with others who knew him.

Thank you so much for your consideration,
