Funeral Services for Albert Thorassie

We are here to ask for your help to cover the costs associated with the funeral of our beloved Father, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, Great Uncle, leader, caribou advocate, and land defender, Albert Thorassie.

He LOVED his family. His parents taught him the traditions of being a Denesuline man, and he loved his culture, language, and the land. He was a voice for the caribou for many years as the Director of the Caribou Management board. He was an Elder advisor to the negotiators for the nof60 team to advocate for the rights of the Sayisi Dene people. He was a provider to his family, and he loved his community.

Always smiling, always joking, and always happy to see his kin. He will be missed by many.

He came from a large family. We want to surround him with those people he loved, and We are asking for support to help cover the costs of laying him to rest.
