Funeral services for Dana Hanczyc

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Staff Sgt. Dana Hanczyc. She graduated from Pittston area HS in 1993. Dana was a US Army veteran, serving overseas for several years and later continued to work in the defense industry. She adored her pups, rescued many others, and recently started her own pet sitting business.

Our beloved Dana leaves behind many uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and fellow service members who are devastated with this sudden loss. She was a shining light, and her absence leaves a heart broken community mourning. Dana always sacrificed for others, celebrated the world around her, and has left an unforgettable legacy of love, honor, and respect.

Dana was predeceased by her mother and father. She did not have any siblings or children but was a great blessing to the younger children of her extended family. Unfortunately, resources are very limited, and there is not a lot of financial support provided to the grieving families of veterans.
