Funeral Services for Frank Alonso
Donation protected
On Wednesday, September 9th, we unexpectedly lost a loving father, son and brother. He was a surviving Stage 3 stomach cancer patient who battled years of depression and PTSD. He never lost hope in God when obstacles were placed in his path despite his daily battle with his demons. He remained as strong as can be for his children and loved ones.
Sadly, we now face these financial expenses during these unprecedented times. The funds raised will be for his funeral and memorial services. Any remaining funds will be deposited into a saving account for his children.
Some of you may remember Frank as your son/daughter's softball coach, the guy who loved to make people laugh and feel loved, his love for baseball, a trusting friend who was always willing to provide a shoulder, playful man who tried to enjoy life as much as possible or simply as a person with a huge heart.
I remember him as my first true best friend. While our relationship started rocky (he was jealous I was now the baby of the family ... family inside joke), he was the person who talked to me about many life obstacles, who I would sneak out of the house with (by removing my window unit and replacing it once we got back home hahahaha) for food and a drive around town with music blasting loud, who consoled me through a huge event in my life when I felt my lowest, the annoying brother who would pop my toes no matter how many times I kicked him to stop, who would hug me so tight that my bones on my back would pop and the annoyingly affectionate brother who would call me out of the blue to just say I love you sis. These memories among many, many others is how I want to remember my brother.
I hope you all can remember him from all of the good memories you have shared with him as well. Please feel free to share any in the comments as they are consoling. I am confident he is in peace now.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this.
