Funeral&Medical Expense Help for the Motz Family

Donation protected

On September 29, 2022, Kevin Francis Motz went to be with his father Harold, mother Emma, and younger brother Tim. Kevin had been battling Cancer for a little over 2 and a half years and unexpectedly passed away due to sepsis. To say the family is heartbroken would be an understatement. Even with the cancer diagnosis, Kevin was a strong, courageous fighter and they had every hope to believe he would beat this. Kevin, a marathon runner, was a devoted husband and father and is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Meryle Motz (Miller) and father to Timothy Motz, Jason Freeman, Brett (Fawn) Robinson and Norman (Lynne) Robinson. Kevin was also Grandfather of Xylie Nixon, Megan, Grace and James Robinson.

Kevin Francis Motz was born on March 8, 1952. He was a graduate of Homewood-Flossmoor High School and Southern Illinois University (with a degree in Political Science). He worked at Whitey's in Tinley Park, IL for many years before moving to Sportstation in Tinley Park for over 20 years before going into business with Charlie Johnson as co-owner and operator of The Hotcorner Uniforms and Screenprinting. Kevin was a football player; he loved sports and was very active during his high school and college years. Kevin was an avid Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bears and Notre Dame fan. He ran nine Chicago Marathons after turning 59. Kevin was a strong believer in the Constitution of the United States. He loved listening to talk radio and was well informed in all aspects of life.

With heavy and grateful hearts, we are hoping to provide this family with the help needed to cover funeral costs and all the medical expenses that have accumulated over the course of the last 2 and a half years. This will help to lift a burden off his wife and children as they grieve.

We appreciate any donations but would love all the prayers, thoughts, and well wishes you can send this family's way. Thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts.

(We’ve only posted photos with respect to how Kevin would want to be remembered).
