Children are the future, right? Can family and friends affect that child's life? Sure they can! Can a stranger have an effect in that child's life as well? Most definitely! If it's up to us, why not have a positive effect in a child's future?
Autism is one of the number one developmental disorders that impair a child’s ability to communicate and interact with others. Unfortunately hundreds and thousands of children are affected by this. Please help me make a difference in some of these children's lives.
I'm creating this page in hopes that more people like you (the reader), will feel encouraged to make a donation that will help autistic children gain a best friend that will bring a sense of calm and happiness to their life. In the process you will also be bringing not only calm, and happiness to the family, but a sense of peace because they know their child's new best friend is there to help take care of him/her.
Are you familiar with Autism Service Dogs are, and what they do? No? Yes? Maybe? Well, let me inform you so you can have a better understanding. These incredible fur babies do the following:
Reduce the stress and anxiety of everyone in the household thus reducing problem behaviors such as tantrums.
Facilitate & encourage communication.
Teach how to build relationships.
Tool in teaching language and life skills.
Teach your child to learn to think of another's person or animal's needs.
Allow a child with autism to remain calm, grounded in new / different situations or while traveling.
Provide motivation to complete required learning exercises or testing.
Assist adults and family members in locating where an autistic child has gone.
Help your child sleep through the night.
Provides physical interaction & exercise.
Provides a neutral third party & friend in your child's life.
Kaela is a young girl in AZ that could really benefit from the services of these incredible dogs. The cost for it is unfortunately way to high, and I can only donate so much. PLEASE help me help this family. The cost for only one service dog is close to $20,000. Kaela has a younger brother that also suffers from autism. I'm walking before I run, and that is why I am only seeking the help for the cost of one service dog. God willing, and more people such as yourself donate, I would like to get the help for the second sibling. Kaela recently went missing for over 15hrs. and I am sure that with the services of one of these incredible fur babies, situations such as these will be less likely to happen.
