Furseti's Medical and Recovery Costs

Donation protected
Meet Furseti. Our 5-month-old rambunctious little hairball. Living in a house with over a handful of children, Furseti found his home in the chaos of our everyday lives. He spends his time playing with Tech-Deck skateboards and baby toys while taking breaks to wrestle with the kids. He brings such energy to our day to day; we wouldn't have it any other way.

Unfortunately, while on our way back to town on July 23rd, we received a harrowing call. Furseti has wandered outside every day with no concern, though on Sunday, he found himself in the wrong place, at the wrong time. To no fault of those involved, Furseti had gotten run over by a truck. It was a very minor moment and the driver stopped prior to completely crushing our little companion, however, damage had been done. Through a network of calls and assistance by those close to us, Forseti was rushed to the emergency vet. Where they were able to stabilize his condition and give us some medication for the pain until we could get him more care.
Which brings us to the 24th. On Monday, Furseti was able to get in and be seen at The Union Animal Hospital. With the compassionate care provided by these wonderful doctors and nurses, Furseti was eased into their care. He has undergone three X-ray procedures as well has been given more shots for his pain and struggles. The results were two sided. The bad news first, Furseti had three breaks in his pelvic bone as well as some damage to his urethra. The bone itself is currently not displaced, which is good, however, the bad news. The damage to his urethra means he hasn't urinated and unless that resolves soon, he may need more invasive assistance, including a catheter possibly also including surgery.

We are hopeful that our little guys makes a full recovery and can start tumbling around again when this passes but for now, once he is able to come home, he will be kennel bound for about a month. At which time he will need another round of X-Rays to assess the healing.
The cost of the vet varies but the funds go toward:
X-Rays, Pain Medication, Shots, Follow-up Care, Etc.

No one is ever prepared for a member of the family to get hurt, Furry or otherwise, but we will do what's best for him regardless. We ask those who can to assist us in this matter of they are able to, so we can provide the absolute best care we can for this little one. Thank you for your consideration and please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
