Future Baby Huskey

Where do I begin? Many of you don’t know but Derek and I have known each other since I was in elementary school. Our paths crossed numerous times but we didn’t start our journey until 2015. When we got together he also brought 3 amazing kids into my life. Right then and there I knew I wanted him to be the father of our child and or children. Our relationship progressed quickly and we both knew exactly what we wanted. In 2016 we knew we were ready for the next step in our life and to create a family of our own. I got pregnant in August of 2016 and what I thought was the happiest day of my life, shortly turned into one of the most devastating days of my life when I miscarried. As upset as we were, we wanted to keep trying. I got pregnant again in October and when I went to my 8 week appointment I got very unfortunate news. I was only measuring at 5 weeks and there was no heart beat. After another ultrasound, my doctor informed me that she was going to schedule surgery for a D&C. Honestly at this point I felt defeated. In November I found out I have a genetic gene mutation called MTHFR and Factor V which is a blood clotting disorder. I always felt that I was a strong individual but during this time I was physically and emotionally drained and needed to give myself time to heal before considering trying again.

This year I made a goal to focus more on myself and do what I needed to do to start a family. I went and got fertility work up done in January and found out that due to some new underlying issues, it was best that Derek and I conceive via IVF. It’s never easy hearing things that make you feel defeated, but fortunately we have a chance to overcome this huge obstacle we have been faced with. Although IVF wasn’t the route we thought we would ever have to go through, we are grateful to have found an amazing doctor to help us reach our goal of extending our family.

IVF can become a very expensive alternative to having a child. Derek and I are asking anyone who is willing, able, or wanting to donate to helping us reach our goal we would appreciate it so much! The expenses of doctor visits, procedures, medications, and miscellaneous fees are overwhelming and with your support we may be able to have our wish come true.
