Thirty years ago, 4 Muslim women thought to build a place where Muslim youth could flourish and grow together. With their hard work and courage, MTI School of Knowledge was opened, against nearly all odds. This year, we are celebrating thirty years of academic excellence. 

However, currently, we have completed the first two floors of the school, Alhamdulilah. However, we have had to put construction at a pause due to the construction requiring more funds that we currently do not have. The third floor would be allocated towards our middle school students. 

With the will of Allah (swt) and the support of our generous donors, MTI was able to purchase a beautiful building that will allow us to grow, meet the needs of the community and offer even more programs and educational opportunities. It has what our students have dreamt of for many years: A full-court gym, large grounds for outdoor sports, and an auditorium for performances. 

MTI is where children are nurtured, and leaders are born! Our students come from more than 20 countries, many of them are immigrants and refugees from war-torn countries and modest means. In our eyes, neither a student's origin, nor the economic status of their family dictates their future, because every child is OUR child, and their success is the community's duty. MTI helps immigrant students and their families adjust quickly to their new American home and catch up to other students in language and core education. Throughout its history, MTI is proud to have graduated every single high-school student with 100% college admission, many of them also received scholarships. Our graduates have gone on to become doctors, dentists, lawyers, engineers, nurses, business leaders, and advocates for social justice. Many are now leading in their communities and serving the MTI community from which they emerged. Above all, they became purpose-driven leaders who care about improving the lives of others around them.
