I am asking that you help me reach my goal of $8,000 to cover the remaining balance for my living expenses during my first year of my 29 month program. To hear my story, please read below!

Success! It all starts with what you believe in and how much you are willing to become empowered. My motivation that sets me apart from others is that I am eager to obtain the knowledge needed for enhancing my career pathway, as a Physician Assistant (PA), rather than the promising benefits from it. Most of you may ask, what is a PA? A PA is a licensed medical provider that diagnoses and treats illnesses and diseases while also having the ability to prescribe medications. Before stating what sparked my interest in attending Emory's PA Program, I must tell you why I have chosen a career pathway in medicine. Developing the mindset that “Knowledge is Power” at a young age instilled in me that my ability to succeed in vigorous and challenging tasks should come from being a passionate, determined, and studious student. This created my zeal for medical science, and although the courses were perplexing, I excelled in them because learning about the connection of the body holistically fascinated me. Having this mindset allowed me to graduate from Georgia State University, where I obtained a B.S. Degree in Exercise Science, Summa Cum Laude, with a 4.0 GPA. Being that I have always had a great interest in the human body and science, what I appreciate the most about the healthcare profession is that I will be able to make a difference in people's life by keeping them healthy.

Furthermore, I chose Emory’s PA Program because I loved how the mission of the school was built on a strategic plan meant to go out into the community to impact, and inform people about healthcare. It feels great to know that I will be a part of an institution that not only cares for the well being of their students, but also for their community.  Likewise, being that Emory’s PA Program focuses on primary care and preventive medicine to the underserved, I will help the program meet their mission because I can not sit back and see other people not get the care that they need. These factors influenced my goals and preparation for a career in medicine because they made me become a more studious student who wants to learn their craft, as well as, a compassionate person, which I do believe this world needs more of. The Emory PA Program will offer me the experience, knowledge, and confidence needed to make concrete and sound decisions while working within the health field.

With all of that being said, I need your help! I was blessed to not have any undergraduate loans due to my parents starting my college fund when I was a baby. Now, I will be attending Emory's 29 month long PA Program starting on July 30th, and I will not be able to work. I will have to take out loans for my tuition, fees, and living expenses of $56,424 /(fall & spring)+ tuition for the summer(tba).

Once again, I am asking that you help me reach my goal of $8,000 to cover the remaining balance for my living expenses during my first year of my 29 month program.

These funds will be used towards my computer, school supplies, cell phone, groceries, gas, car maintenance, rent, utilities, and so much more. Any amount that you give will help me tremendously! I will keep this campaign open throughout the duration of my first year, and as the next year comes about I will start a new campaign. Please feel free to continuously donate and I will give updates on my journey into becoming a PA as well!

Thank you for your time and generous donation!
