Futuro Academy Basketball Team

Hey family and friends as you guys know this year I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to pursue my Masters In Elementary Education while teaching 3rd grade math at Futuro  Academy, a charter school located in East Las Vegas . Aside from teaching and going to school, I’m also the schools head basketball coach. This year is the first year Futuro Academy has ever rolled out athletics due to being partnered with a with non-profit organization called Greater Youth Sports Developments, which is free of charge, meaning our student athletes don’t have to pay they just register with the option of playing on the recreational or competition team. For majority of our student athletes this is the first time they have ever played a sport, many have never played do to simply not being able to afford it or just because the opportunity has never arisen, being their head coach and this being our first year I want to make it special for my student athletes who work really hard not just in the classroom but on the court as well, I’m hoping to make every single one of our recreational  and competition players team Hoodies and have an end of season Banquet. We have 39 kids and this would be an amazing opportunity for them to feel apart of a team. Thank you for all your love and support. - Mario

Hola familia y amigos. 
Como ustedes saben este año me mudé a Las Vegas Nevada para obtener mi maestría en educación primaria mientras enseñó matemáticas de tercer grado en Futuro Academy, una escuela autónoma ubicada en el este de Las Vegas.  
Además de ser maestro e ir a la escuela, también soy el entrenador principal de baloncesto de nuestra escuela.  Este año es el primer año en que Futuro Academy participa en atletismo debido a que se asoció con una organización sin fines de lucro llamada “Greater Youth Sports Developments”, la cual  es gratuita. Por lo tal nuestros estudiantes atletas no tienen que pagar costos de registro, solo se registran para jugar en el equipo ya sea recreativo o de competición.  Para la mayoría de nuestros estudiantes atletas esta es la primera vez que practican en un deporte y muchos nunca lo han hecho simplemente porque no pueden pagarlo o porque la oportunidad nunca ha surgido. Siendo este nuestro primer año y como su entrenador quiero que sea especial para mis estudiantes atletas que no solo trabajan muy duro en el aula sino también en la cancha. 
Me gustaría poder darles a cada uno una sudadera con capucha del equipo y además tener un banquete de fin de temporada. Tenemos 39 niños y esta sería una oportunidad increíble para que se sientan parte de un equipo.
