The Freedom Project
Donation protected
This is a project of racial, social, educational, and citizenship inclusion, created by Mestre Amen Santo in 2017. It is based out of the house that he grew up in, in a neighborhood called Liberdade in Salvador, Bahia. It is important to know that the children here live in a war
zone … caught between police and traffickers. Mestre Amen saw the need to bring something positive to the community, and thus the Freedom Project was born. It serves 50 children between the ages of 4 and 16. Here the youth find a safe space where they can train capoeira, learn English, be fed in body, mind and spirit and so much more.
The funds raised will go towards supporting this after school project for a whole year. The following is our yearly budget. Not only will your funds go towards supporting local children we are also employing local community members.
