Leslie's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
This fund will be used to support Leslie Floeter's recovery and journey toward healing.
On November 30, Leslie entered the emergency room in Washington DC to quickly discover she needed emergency surgery to remove infected tissue from a fast-acting bacteria. Over the course of the last week, she has encountered more setbacks, and another diagnosis may come, as well. In the next week, she will move into an assisted-care facility for 2-3 weeks while her wound heals. It is expected that she will miss at least two months of work. While she will receive short-term disability, this is only 60% of her pay.
This fund is to help cover expenses encountered during recovery, and to help provide some Christmas cheer for our friend who works so diligently to bring light into our lives. Leslie has been digging deep to find the positive each day, let's put together our efforts to provide some light in a dark time.
Since this journey began, this verse has been on my heart: Though my heart and flesh may fail, God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. O God, our portion and our cup, fill Leslie with every good gift and cause her to abound with every spiritual blessing as she continues to put her trust in you, moment by moment. You have overcome all things, even the grave. May your Spirit of power, the power the raised Jesus from the dead, cause her hope to abound and faith to increase during this time. We trust you and your great love for her. In Jesus' name, Amen.
