Support Corey's Family in Their Time of Loss

Donation protected
Corey Dyvene Smith passed away on August 9, 2024, in Kemp, Texas. Corey was born to Daryl and Kathy Smith in Dallas, Texas on June 27, 1991, and was welcomed into eternity by his mother, Kathy, who preceded him in death.

Corey, AKA Bubba, Uncle Bubba and "Muncle Bubba", was a joy in life to those who knew him best! Corey loved big with his whole heart, and whatever activity he was working on at the time, he was sure to go all in. He loved cars, especially restoring his Chevy Vortex Truck, music, and fishing, but the best characterization of knowing Corey was to know he loved his family. Corey (Bubba) would pick on his sister, Courtney, in such a loving way and their relationship was always a close one. Corey loved his parents, children, nephews, and so many others that grew close to his heart. He was generous with his time, courageous with his battles, always willing to forgive, and had an understanding personality. A phrase he would often say to others was, "Love you more!" Corey's loved ones are whispering back to him, that they, "Love you more!"

Left to carry on Corey's love are his father, Daryl Smith, sister Courtney Martin and husband Zack, children: Ryland Michael Smith, Ellie Raelynn Smith, Emma Cheyenne Smith, and Oliver Jace Smith. Also left to cherish his memories are his nephews Jaxxon Martin and Maddox Martin, grandparents: Virginia Juroska, Harold Eugene Johnson and Evert Smith, along with beloved in-laws, Joe and Nancy Martin, and Kris and Bre Martin, plus a host of friends, who will miss Corey very much.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel beginning at 3 pm. The family will receive guests one hour prior to service time.
