Help a Single Father save his Home

Hi, my name is Keith, and this is my son Max.

We’ve fallen into some hard times after a series of events that took place and I’m looking for some help from friends and family, as I’m not sure what else I can do to save our home.

Over the past 6 months, I hired a contractor to complete a significant amount of work on our home. This man took tens of thousands of dollars from us and left the work incomplete; parts of our home are unusable – and due to it being left half complete, I don’t have the option to use home equity with it being in such disrepair.

If I’m able to raise the money, I would use these funds to complete all the things that were left in shambles. This includes our deck, the garage, and portions of our house that aren’t currently safe.

I’m a single father, and I don’t have anywhere else to turn – we’ve been doing well on our own without any support and to be taken advantage by a con-artist is one of the most hurtful things that I have ever experienced. I have filed a police report, sought legal help from attorneys and have looked to find any type of recourse for something of this magnitude. It seems like this person will get away with doing this and continue to do this type of thing to others. When it came to my personal interactions with this individual, it was nothing but stall tactics and excuses. He played on my emotions and used my empathy with also “being a father” against me.
