G Star High School for the Arts Mural Project

G Star School of the Arts has been operating for 18 years. We have maintained an “A” rating with the Florida Department of Education, and have educated students who have achieved amazing things both at school, and after their graduation. One thing that we lack, is that same amazing excitement and dedication to the art community on our exterior walls. Our campus is comprised of buildings that were originally intended for other purposes, such as a public utilities office and storage facility. With that in mind, we are excited to announce the launching of the “G Star Walls” project at G Star School of the Arts!
The “G Star Walls” project is aimed to bring life, color, and excitement to the walls of our campus through the avenue of mural art! It is our goal to bring local, and some national artists on campus to add their art to our campus walls. The one thing that always comes up in student surveys, is the desire to have a more creative and visually appealing campus. With this project, we are hoping to not only add art to our campus, but inspire our own students’ creativity and artistic abilities while here on our campus.
In order to fully realize our goal, we are asking for your help. The artists that are coming to paint our walls for us are doing so for free. They are donating their time and talents to better our campus and inspire our students. There are, however, costs associated with such a large undertaking. Costs such as paint, rental equipment used to reach the top of our two story walls, and various supplies rewuired by the artists. We are asking for your help in being able to provide for these needs in order to have this vision become a reality for our students.
Any amount is appreciated! We thank you ahead of time for your generous gift and being a part of bringing life and inspiration to the next generation of artists here at G Star School of the Arts!
Below are some examples of murals that have already been painted and kicked off our project! We hope to cover our camus in diverse art forms ino order to inspire our students and community with your help!
