Half marathon fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi,
If any of you know me running is a sport
that I have always loathed but I have
decided to challenge myself and run
Ards half marathon which to me is not fun
at all
I will be running in aid of two charities,
First one being Brain Injury Matters
Northern Ireland.
I currently work as a nurse in the Regional Acquired Brain Injury unit (RABIU) in
Musgrave Hospital
This facility helps people who have had an acquired brain injury. In RABIU we work
closely with individuals to help them
return to the best possible quality of life
through intense rehabilitation.
Brain Injury Matters is a charity that focuses on post care and support, promote and
empower all those affected by an acquired Brain Injury.
please see link below :)
The second charity I am running for is
Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team (LMRT)
This is a mountain rescue team in Scotland that covers Ben Nevis.
This charity means a lot to many following a tragic accident after a close friend and
colleague’s husband got into difficulty
whilst at Ben Nevis
LMRT work at the request of the
police to attend incidents. It is a non profit organisation built up from volunteers that
include specialists from medical care to
climbing and logistics.
