Help Love Affair Basement to survive!

Hello everyone!

We’re Dina and Olga, the owners of A Portuguese Love Affair on Hackney Road. In October, we launched our exciting new project, Love Affair Basement, but we still need your help to bring this dream to life as soon as possible.

After a very intense and emotionally physically and financially challenging last few months, we won the fight - thanks to you, dear supporter.

Thank you to the people that helped with renovations, thank you to our family and friends, to the people that donated, to the people that signed the petition, to the people who have been to LAB, to the people who gave us love and strength and to the remarkable people that came to our council hearing.

This was truthfully a collective fight that wouldn’t have happened without you all. Thank you.

Not all is shooting stars. We got given the license, but with several clauses. One of which requires us to have further sound isolation in our space.

Our GoFundMe is still active, this money will be used in the next couple of months to finalise our in-house work, like a different sound system, further sound isolation, just to name a few things that council is requiring of us.
