Cremation Cost of Beloved "Cash"
Donation protected
Dear Friends & Family,
I started this “Go Fund Me Account” in an attempt to ease the worry and perhaps pain of my dear friend April who earlier this morning lost her beloved horse “Cash” in a tragic accident.
The funds would help her pay for the rescue attempts and a proper cremation that this amazing animal so desperately deserves.
At roughly 11 pm last night, shortly after Aprils shift as an RN at the Easton Hospital Emergency Room, she received a call from a neighbor, alarming her that her horses were loose outside the pasture and grazing at the boarder of her Farm House in Saylorsburg, PA. It being late at night and pitch black the attempt of trying to catch them with hay and buckets full of grain only resulted in the horses getting frightened and them taking off running up the road.
Multiple search parties went out through the night, desperately looking for her animals, but to no avail. Until about 6:30 am April received a phone call from the State Troopers, informing her that Ike, her Belgian Draft horse had been spotted in a neighbor’s yard.
She quickly headed about a mile up the road to the address she was given and hustled up the steep driveway. Everything was silent as she first sighted Ike. As she came closer she saw that Cash had fallen into the neighbor’s pool. Obviously struggling most, if not all of the night he was exhausted and suffering from hypothermia. With his last bit of strength, he lifted his head and nickered to her as he heard her voice screaming for help, Ike never leaving his side.
Desperate attempts from Volunteer Fire fighters, EMTS, Vets, neighbors and many others of trying to get Cash out of the pool in time to save his life, have sadly failed. He just couldn’t hold on any longer.
April owned Cash for about 10+ years and he would have been 19 years old this month. His passing leaves her with a tremendous whole in her heart, as all her animals are like her Children, but Cash in particular has helped her through many struggles in her life and they had a very special bond. He was one of the kindest horses I had ever been given the pleasure of meeting. He was so loving and gentle that I trusted him to carry my one-year-old daughter for her first “pony” ride and I know he’s carried many other children, giving them the experience of a true gentleman.
Please open your hearts and help assist April and her Family in giving Cash the proper burial/cremation he so deserves. It will help the family with grieving his sudden and horrific passing.
Thank you for your support and kindness it is so very much appreciated.
Love,
Sabine
