My name is Don Hatfield and, as many of you know, I sell my oil paintings for a living. I live in Napa, California where I raise my three grandchildren, Eva 7, Ariel 5, and Alex 3. Their mother, Rachel Winkler, was murdered by her husband and father of the three children, Todd Winkler. He has been sentenced to life in prison. My wife, Janey died of cancer one month before Rachel's passing, and her medical bills depleted our financial resources. At 67, I now raise the three children with the help of a nanny and my son.
I work in my studio within ear shot of the kids, and I am deeply involved in their school work, social life, and religious training. My goal is to provide them everything good for them, and with the loving support of St. John's Lutheran School , contributions, and the local community I am reaching that goal.
Your financial gifts help me stay the course in this blessed undertaking. The money that comes in goes directly to Rachel's Children's Fund which pays tuition costs, rent, medical bills, nanny fees, food, clothing, lessons, and supplies that a family requires.
Blessings, Don Hatfield
