Family Expenses
Don protégé
Hi, my name is Jamie, and I am a close friend of the family. I am creating this fundraiser to help Josh's family to mourn the loss of a beloved child, and provide for the funeral and expenses.
Joshua McCoy passed away on September 26, 2021. He was a victim of a senseless crime, at the young age of 15. In his short life, Josh learned a lot about the importance of family, friends, and faith. He was the type of young man who would give you the shirt off of his back. He actually did give the shirt off of his back to someone, before his life was tragically taken from us.
Josh was a GOOD student, a GOOD son, a GOOD brother and a GOOD friend to so many. He had a love for his friends, family, pets, basketball and JESUS that was incomparable.
His familys hearts are shattered. Josh will be missed for his goofy, cheesy jokes which would light up any room with his over the top humor. On any given day, Josh would be hanging out with his best friend, playing one on one basketball, or hanging out at the skate park. Josh was so excited for the up coming basketball season at his high school, in which it was his first quarter of being a sophomore! Like any teenager, he had his own plan for the future. When he turned 16, he wanted to apply at a local supermarket, to prepare to make his way into life, but more specifically, his secret dream car, a red Miata! He was a kind of kid, smart, outgoing and an awesome young man! Although he may not be here physically, his spirit still hovers over us, providing us our own safety for each and every person whom he loved. His family will always cherish the memories, and especially the ones he created. He was such a core part of the families way of life and a core part of the student body he loved and cherished.
Our community has been grieving the loss of a young man who LOVED and was BELOVED by so many. Thank you for your support of the family and please continue to pray for our dedicated law enforcement who are working tirelessly to bringing Justice For Josh! God Bless You and our community.
