We are some of Laura Ramirez's friends raising money for her family to fund her final farewell. On Friday, March 10th, we attended a beautiful service at Brown's Funeral Home. It was raining and Gerry, one of Laura's friends said that Latino lore says that when it rains on the day of a funeral, it means a good person is being buried. We all know that Laura was a good person!

Thanks to those of you who donated here and directly! We raised money to pay for $4500 of the $5000 funeral expenses and $1500 of the printing expenses. A lovely gathering was paid for and hosted by Tina her daughters... another one of Laura's friends. Another friend, who owns a stone quarry in Edwards, is generously donating a headstone. However, the headstone still needs to be engraved and transported to her beautiful burial spot.
