Fund the Future of Mill Valley Philharmonic
Mill Valley Philharmonic needs YOUR HELP to achieve our Fund the Future campaign goal of $25,000, including raising $10,000 through this online campaign.
Mill Valley Philharmonic (MVP) is a nonprofit symphony orchestra comprised of over 50 volunteer musicians who bring high-quality, live classical music to people of all ages and means in their own communities. MVP serves many segments of our community, including accomplished local volunteer musicians; emerging composers - whose works we commission; and most important, individuals and families who might not otherwise have an opportunity to experience a live orchestral performance.
After a transition year following the retirement of our founder and long-time Artistic Director at the end of our 2017-18 season, MVP has emerged stronger and better than ever! This year, we are performing under the batons of 3 amazing guest conductors (Paul Phillips, Dana Sadava and Alexander Kahn) and our audiences are overflowing the concert halls.
This positive change comes, however, with increased cost. We are asking our stakeholders, who have experienced so much joy and beauty through our performances, to assist us in meeting our fiscal needs. The cost of rehearsal and performance space in Marin County is increasingly expensive – nothing is free. And, the transition to new administrative leadership, along with a variety of production expenses (e.g. community outreach, sheet music) has necessitated a growth in our annual operating budget.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we have already raised $15,000 toward our goal! Please help us fill our funding gap and maintain our longtime fiscal stability!
