Starting a new life

veryone! My name is David Jevne. I am a recovering addict, and I was recently released from prison after serving 30 months for selling drugs. I am working hard to be a better person, recover from my addiction and the trauma that led to it, and learning to be a productive member of our society and community. I work at and attend school at Peninsula College. I am doing very well, and feel better than I have in my life. I have two reasons for making this post. The first is that I have done a lot of harm over the years and I am now at a stage in my recovery where I want to make amends, if at all possible, to the people I have done wrong. If you are reading this post and I have wronged you, or you suspect me of wronging you, please reach out to me. I would very much like to make things right if I can. The second reason for this post is to ask for help, if anyone is interested in helping me. To be clear, I do not NEED anything. I am learning to take care of my own needs and I have a support system. But there are things that I could use, and that would be very helpful to me. If there is anyone who would like to make a positive impact in my life and can help with any of the following, please let me know.

I just paid off my tickets and am now eligible for reinstatement of my driver’s license. I went to the DOL today and with the reinstatement fee and the licensing fee it will be about $250 dollars to get my license back. I could also use a decent running car for getting to and from work. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Most of my worldly belongings are gone from before prison, so if anyone has any clothes my wardrobe could use some serious help. I am a size 38-40 waist 32 inseam and wear 2-3x shirts, jackets etc…

I am planning on starting my own business salvaging and remodeling RV’s and travel trailers. I am looking into finding a shop that I can afford to rent. If anyone has any tools they could part with, any expertise or advise with starting a business, or may be interested in investing in the business I would love to hear from you.

Finally, if there is anyone out there reading this who could use help with something, I would love to give back to my community in any way that I can. If there is something I can help with, I will.
