Delani's Study Abroad

Hi, I'm Delani.  When I was just 4-years old, I told my mom, "I have $2 - I want to go to France! I will save $1 for French lessons, and $1 for the trip."  Well, now that I'm in high school, I know it's a little bit more expensive than that! But I've wanted to study in France since I was a little girl.  I am trying to fundraise to study abroad this summer in Loches, France. I would be studying theater, history, language, and culture and hopefully fulfilling my life long dream.  I feel that art can help me learn more about others as well as myself.  I'd like to continue to pursue my passion in theater as I think it will help me become a skilled lawyer and fight for social justice.  I recently made my high school's Mock Trial team and I'm learning about the importance of being a creative and confident public speaker in order to be the voice for those who are voiceless. I am so grateful for all your support.  I made my initial deposit thanks to all of your generosity!  Thank you so much! I am now trying to raise the final amount by February 15.  Thank you again to all my friend and family! Even if I don't know you, I feel very blessed that you chose to support me!
