Ms. Judy's Liver Transplant, A Gift

Greetings from Ms. Sunshine,
For the past several years, my liver has been suffering without my knowing. Last year, I was on the verge of liver failure (12/22/14 to 01/02/15). I had no idea that I was going to be diagnosed with genetic autoimmune liver hepatitis (more info here). People with this disease could potentially develop HCC (hepatocellular carcinoma), which is the most common type of liver cancer.
Several teams of doctors worked around the clock to prescribe me meds that are now keeping me regulated until I receive a new liver. If it hadn’t have been for that, I’d be long gone.
Since June 2015, the 30+ doctor appointments and tests are taking a toll on my health, peace of mind, and our wallets. You can see the specific costs here. At this point, I can’t afford to live with so many expenses. But at the same time, I can’t afford to leave my family, friends, and business. I want to continue to be Ms. Judy for a long, long time.
Your support, donations, and prayers will help me live a healthy life. In exchange for your donation and support, we will continue to provide quality carpet cleaning/floor care service. We will also have future planned events such as garage sales, fun walks, etc. And don’t worry CVHS, I still plan to substitute on my free days :)!
It’s more than the surgery that counts, however. The financial burden of the after-care process is even more important. In fact, it is how well I take care of myself after the surgery that is critical: readjusting to medicine, dealing with the psychological effect, and many other obstacles. This includes having a personal caretaker, taking medicine, and preparing for future health concerns associated with the liver transplant.
